Position Summary:

The Controller will oversee the full cycle of accounting operations and financial reporting. This individual will provide accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance professional with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead all accounting functions, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
– Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
– Maintain, develop, and implement financial policies, controls, systems, and procedures.
– Coordinate the financial planning and budget process and analyze and correct estimates.
– Ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax reporting requirements.
– Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and capital investments.
– Support and mentor accounting staff.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
– Proven experience in a Controller or similar role within an accounting environment.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
– Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) is essential.
– Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for account analysis and reconciliation tasks.
– Experience in budgeting processes and financial forecasting.
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
– Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Yard/Forklift Operator

Cross Country is a leading Canadian Manufacturer in the aggregate and transportation industry and is currently seeking a full time Yard/Forklift Operator to join our team. 

We offer competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package with life insurance. 

We are looking for a forklift operator (training and license on site) to move packages and material around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. 

You must be a responsible individual with experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

– Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places
– Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
– Transport raw materials to production workstations
– Daily inspections to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance 

 

Skills & Requirements:

– Proven experience as forklift operator
– Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
